About the Winery
Stonier Wines is located in Mornington Peninsula in Victoria.It has been awarded 5-red star by James Halliday. It  was established in 1978 and the planting of Pinot Noir vines began in 1982. The winery from the beginning is focused on producing Chardonnay and Pinot Noir Wines. The first Pinot Noir wine was released in 1986. The winery won the trophy for Best Pinot Noir at Adelaide Wine Show 1994 for its 1993 Stonier Reserve Pinot Noir.
Stonier wines have been organizing SIPNOT or the Stonier International Pinot Noir Tasting for the past 18 years which is a blind tasting event with James Halliday as one of the 3 panel member, where 12 Pinot Noir wines from around the world are selected and judges award the best.

Giant Steps is a five-star rated winery by James Halliday and Pinot Noir from this label doesn’t fail to impress one bit. Fruit being sourced from its Applejack, Primavera, Tarraford, Lusatia Park etc.This wine brings with its uplifting aromas of blue, red fruit and cherries with game characters in the background. Medium bodied wine containing forest flavors with a medium alcohol level of 13.5% ALC/VOL. Giant Steps Pinot Noir wine can be cellared for an extended period of ten years. The previous vintage has been greatly appreciated by wine critic Huon Hooke terming it ‘seductive and delightful’.
